A RECIPE FOR CHRISTMAS

“DECORATIONS .................. TO EAT .....”

Children in America cook biscuits to hang on their Christmas tree.....

INGREDIENTS:

CASTER SUGAR 100gr.
BUTTER 100gr.
PLAIN FLOUR 100gr.
CINNAMON 5ml.
BEATEN EGG 1

Pre-heat the oven to 190° .
Mix together the sugar and the butter.
Add the beaten egg and stir in the flour and cinnamon.
Mix the dough until it feels firm.
Roll out the dough until thin.
Cut into star shapes or heart shapes .... and make a little hole in the top.
Place biscuits on a greased and floured baking sheet.
Cook near the top of the oven for about ten minutes till the biscuits are golden brown.
Thread ribbon through the hole in the top and hang from the Christmas tree.
If you want, you can decorate your biscuits with coloured icing or little silver balls...
